“The Wall That Heals” Flights and Display – Willows, CA

Mission: The 25th Infantry Division Huey was requested at “The Wall That Heals,” a traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and Museum, in Willows California. We landed at he local airport and gave free rides to about 90 Vietnam Veterans! There was everything from laughter to tears as the Veterans came off the Huey helicopter, some for first time in over forty years. (Photos and video provided by Laus Photography, and photos also provided by Carina—thank you!)

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial stands as a symbol of America’s honor and recognition of the men and women who served and sacrificed their lives in the Vietnam War. The Memorial is dedicated to honor the “courage, sacrifice and devotion to duty and country” of all who answered the call to serve during the most divisive war in U.S. history.
